Students & community

Bus conduct and field trips, community groups renting the gym, and the ID cards that open the doors.

These are the surfaces where the public meets the district — a family disputing a conduct report, a youth league booking a cafeteria, a visitor badge that should have expired. Each one is a record somebody outside the district may eventually read.

Transportation

Bus conduct with auto-escalation, field trip approvals, daycare transportation.

Conduct reports route to two reviewers — the building and the transportation office — because the two see different halves of the picture. Reports carry the bus, the route and where on the route it happened, which is what lets footage be found.

module key: transportation · independently toggled per district

What it does

  • Conduct write-ups with 3-in-7-day automatic escalation
  • Dual review queue: building administrator and transportation office
  • Bus assignments, turning a driver report into a specific student
  • Field trips with a Chair → Principal → Dispatch approval chain
  • Public daycare transportation form, review queue and routing export

Reservations

Space catalogue, booking approvals, permits, invoices, COI compliance and payment.

District spaces booked internally by staff and externally by community groups. Insurance status, fees and custodial coverage are properties of the organisation, so they are established once rather than renegotiated per booking.

What it does

  • Space catalogue with capacity and room contents
  • Booking requests with an approval flow and blackout periods
  • External organisation registry with contacts and COI status
  • Permit, invoice and receipt PDFs, plus an iCal feed
  • Stripe payment, mark-paid and refund
  • SSO auto-join rules for external requesters

Badging

Staff, student and visitor ID cards, and the credentials that open doors.

Issuing, printing and encoding ID cards. A card that does not look like the person is not an identification and will be waved through, so the photo is the part worth slowing down for.

module key: badging · independently toggled per district

What it does

  • Issue a card: find the person, check the photo, pick the template, print
  • Batch printing for start-of-year runs and bulk photo import
  • An "awaiting credential" list to clear before someone needs a door
  • Card templates per population — staff, student, expiring visitor
  • Credential records and credential formats for the access control system
