Safety & security

The record an inspector, an investigator or a family will ask for — written when it happened, not reconstructed afterwards.

Safety paperwork tends to live in a binder in one office and a shared drive in another. When a drill log, an SDS sheet or a footage release is actually needed, the question is never whether the district complied — it is whether the district can show it.

Safety

Incident reports, drill log, emergency plans, SDS chemical register, accountability zones.

Incidents, drills, emergency plans and the chemical register, each written as evidence rather than as a conclusion. A plan is only as good as its roster, so rosters are first-class records that are checked in August rather than in October.

module key: safety · independently toggled per district

What it does

  • Incident reports — injury, Title IX, behavioural, near miss — with Principal sign-off
  • Fire, tornado and lockdown drill log with time-to-complete and observations
  • Emergency plans and evacuation rosters per building
  • SDS / MSDS chemical register with supplier fetch by product code
  • Hazard summaries generated on upload and correctable by hand
  • Accountability zones tying rooms to teachers and classes, with zone leaders
  • Bell schedules, safety forms and a shared media library

Security

Access and property incidents, minutes, and dual-approved camera footage releases.

The security side: access, intrusion, theft, and the footage that documents it. Footage of students is an education record, so every request carries who asked, the reason, the time window and who approved the release.

module key: security · independently toggled per district

What it does

  • Property and access incident reports, recorded even when nothing was taken
  • Incident minutes attached to the incident rather than to a personal drive
  • Camera footage requests with a Principal → Safety Director dual-approval chain
  • Automatic 90-day retention scrub on extracted footage
  • Security media library kept with the incident it belongs to
